About

Miranda Krestovnikoff is a radio and television presenter, specialising in natural history. She has been the resident wildlife expert on The One Show for the last 14 years. As far back as she can remember Miranda has always needed to be outdoors. Much of her childhood was spent at the top of a tall tree in her parents’ garden. Her passion for wildlife also started early and involved keeping a menagerie of rodents and small pets in the laundry room!

She studied Zoology at Bristol University and discovered her interest in conservation while working at Slimbridge WWT in her holidays. A three-month placement as assistant to a wildlife cameraman was the start of her career in wildlife film making.  From the role of runner to researcher to presenter, Miranda now travels far and wide presenting wildlife programmes. A qualified diver, Miranda is also a passionate marine conservationist.

Miranda is currently Vice-President of the RSPB, having been President for 9 years. She is also Patron of a number of other wildlife organisations.
