About

The village of Kemerton lies on the southern edge of Bredon Hill, which we will climb, along narrow lanes and through fields and wooded paths on a gentle but steady incline. From Bredon we will survey the surrounding Vale of Evesham and have views of both the Malverns and the Cotswolds.

Max Hunt, Secretary of the Housman Society, will accompany us on the walk, and give readings from A.E. Housman’s A Shropshire Lad including, of course, ‘Bredon Hill’.

This lovely easy 5-mile walk is in conjunction with Evesham Walking Festival.

Park in the car park just by the churchyard, or if that fills up, alongside the churchyard in the lane. There is a pub and café in the village but you may like to bring something for a short refreshment break on Bredon Hill. The walk is not suitable for children and no dogs are allowed.
